Poetic Corner

I judge you

My friend and I wonder
Why is the human mind so eager
To form opinions
To pass judgement
Based on colour, clothes,
Caste, creed and gender??

To identify the likes
Or gauge the spikes
To quickly connect
Or know when to protect
Judging happens
Often unknowingly
But at times necessary
For the risks you carry

Polished language so
Polished thoughts
Good appearance so
Good behavior
Nah, no correlation
Hence wrong conclusion

Be mindful, be careful
For your bias, your views
Unknowingly may influence
What opinion you choose

Keep your mind open
Let it not be confined
To what you see, hear, feel
Go a step beyond
Behind, aside and around
Give a fair chance
For you never know
Your own opinions will get refined
